Engineering Privacy for the Embroidery World
ConvertStitch was founded with a singular, uncompromising principle: your proprietary stitch designs, digitized typography, and commercial embroidery files should never leave your computer.
The Cloud Converter Problem
Traditional online embroidery converter websites require users to upload .PES, .JEF, or .DST files to remote cloud servers. Once uploaded, digitized assets can be cached, indexed, or exposed to third-party data breaches. For independent artisans and commercial embroidery shops, this represents a severe intellectual property risk.
The Zero-Egress Innovation
ConvertStitch solves this by bringing binary parsing engines directly into the web browser. Utilizing high-performance JavaScript and WebAssembly binary readers, files are decoded, coordinate-shifted, and re-encoded locally in your computer's memory. Zero bytes of your design ever touch a network socket.
Our Core Standards
Built by digital textile specialists and software engineers
Every format encoder strictly follows hardware specifications — from Brother PES v1/v6 headers to Janome JEF origin-centering and Tajima DST 3-byte ternary stitch delta encodings.
We operate under a strict zero-egress guarantee. You can even disconnect your internet connection after loading ConvertStitch, and the converter will continue functioning flawlessly.
No subscriptions, paywalls, file size penalties, or registration barriers. High-quality embroidery utility software made universally accessible to the global stitching community.
Supported Machine Ecosystems
ConvertStitch provides native binary decoding and encoding for the primary embroidery hardware manufacturers worldwide:
How Our Binary Engine Operates
Pure client-side computational geometry without server reliance
Our parser reads raw binary streams directly via HTML5 ArrayBuffer and DataView. We parse proprietary headers, block offsets, and variable-length stitch records entirely in browser memory.
Stitch deltas are mapped onto a unified 0.1mm Cartesian grid, ensuring sub-millimeter precision across hoop scales and preventing stitch drift or distortion.
Color change stops (M00/M01) are preserved in absolute sequence and cross-referenced with Madeira, Sulky, and Robison-Anton commercial color palettes.
Physical Hardware Verification Lab
Empirical testing on real consumer and commercial embroidery hardware
Software simulation is only half the battle. Every encoder output from ConvertStitch is physically loaded and test-stitched on actual machinery in our testing laboratory to verify FAT32 USB reading, hoop clearances, and zero needle collisions.
Commercial IP & Zero-Data Charter
A solemn privacy commitment to digitizers, small shops, and commercial apparel makers
Your designs, stitch paths, stitch counts, and filenames are never logged, uploaded, or transmitted anywhere.
Your artwork is never used to train generative AI or embroidery auto-digitizing models. Your IP remains 100% yours.
ConvertStitch is built as a permanent public utility for the global embroidery craft community with no paywalls or file limits.
